📣 IMPORTANT CHANGE TO 2025 TRAVEL TRYOUTS, 8U-14U
There will be one set of travel team tryouts for each age group (8U-14U). We will no longer be conducting separate tryouts for Heavy (Red) teams and Lite (Gray) teams. Tryouts for all 2025 travel teams will take place between July 15-29. 2025 Travel Heavy (Red) coaches will lead tryouts for their age group. More details regarding tryout dates will be communicated after Travel Heavy (Red) head coaches are selected at the July 8th board meeting.
Why was this change made??? Consistent feedback from the last few years revealed that two separate tryouts are not favorable for players/families, as this requires some players to attend two sets of tryouts over a 30 day period and also requires twice the evaluators and volunteers to support the tryout process. In addition, Travel Lite (Gray) rosters are established too late in the summer, after other programs have established rosters and teams.
All players interested in playing on a MYBA travel team must register for tryouts at the link below. As a reminder, eligible participants must meet one of the following requirements:
✔️Morton resident
✔️Attend a Morton school, including private schools
✔️Live within Morton Park District boundaries
